Let’s go treasure hunting!

Everything in this picture works together within the frame. And if I removed one element of the picture, the picture would appear fractured...

Like a puzzle, that’s missing only one piece...

You know, It’s funny...

A 1000 piece puzzle put together, link to link, set to create the most beautiful picture creates nothing but a void or an eyesore...

If I am missing just one piece...

Maybe this is why a true shepherd will drop everything and go searching to the hills if he knows he has 100 sheep, and just 1 is found missing.

999 pieces and 1 missing creates an eyesore for us, because without the 1, we just can NOT see the picture.

Siri just told me that as of 2020 there were 7,830,458,560 people on earth.

My silly puzzle creation feels incomplete if it’s missing one piece. The LORD GOD our FATHER, maker, creator and LOVER of this world knows you!

If one missing piece voids my puzzle, how do you think HE feels when HE looks amongst HIS children and HE can’t find you?

And you are much more than a tiny piece of cardboard.

The issue is we don’t ever understand how much we mean to those around us.

My grandmother always said, “if you want to know the lives that were touched by a person, show up at their funeral.”

Now that’s really sad.

The only time anyone will know the truth about the lives I touched is when my eyelids are stapled shut and I can’t part my lips to say “thank you”

But thank the LORD, that someone else is keeping record!

1 John 1:1

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

Matthew 25:40

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Here John clearly states, that in the beginning before anything was, JESUS was...

And our hands have handled HE who which was from the beginning.

And verse 40 of Matthew 25 tells us that whatever you do...

Nobody here has an endless fountain of money, but can you offer gloves to a homeless man in the cold, or water to a child who looks hot?

JESUS is saying that “what” you give does not matter nearly as much as “where” your giving comes from...

Where is your heart?

And yes, the question is right. “Where is your heart?”

The answer, requires a little bit of reflection because in order to answer, you must realize that deep things call unto deep (Psalm 42:7) and you can not access things that are deep if you are only concerned with living on the surface.

Let’s do this together...

Let’s look together...

Where your treasure is there your heart will be also.(Matthew 6:21)

So that scripture shows us that there is a where...

Yes, and a wise and prudent man does not lay up for himself treasures on earth...

He lays up treasures in HEAVEN where moth nor rust doth corrupt and where thieves do not break through and steal...(Matthew 6:19,20)

So, if I can only find my heart where my treasure is... and if I find that I put my security IN my job, in my friends hands and in my life down here...(let’s say)

Then I will lose the very thing that means the most to me, my treasure and my heart.

If my security is IN my job, Getting fired from that job will leave me disillusioned and pennyless.

If my security is placed in other men’s hands, when they fall or when they fail, if they get sick or even if they die...

The operative word here is ‘they’

When I do self reflection work, I get quiet and listen. I need to hear every word that my heart says.

You also want to watch for words that you find repeat themselves.

Even in your psyche...

Ok so here’s a tricky one...

What happens when I place my security in things down here?

If you said INsecurity happens, you WIN!

INsecurity is the anger that takes place or a result the anger that takes place when you begin looking INward for things that you don’t have to give.

You don’t have security for your life because you are a created being and you did not create yourself...

As a result, you can not be expected to secure yourself or anything around you.

Did you find that your answers matched any of those?

Then you have found a place where you have buried treasure...

The trouble is that treasure that was buried is still yours. The problem is that you buried your heart WITH your treasure. So when you speak are you ever showing anyone the real you? I would say, “no” because your heart has been buried. You don’t know what the real ‘you’ looks like.

My heart is an expression of me.

Who I really am...

My treasure...

the enemy is cunning because he influences many to bury their hearts when they are children. It’s tough once we learn and realize what has happened, because if you buried something at 5 or 6 years of age, how easy do you think it would be for you to find it?

Do you even remember what your address was when you were that young?

However YOU must go and dig it up.

The reason for this is 2-fold.

First unclaimed treasure will always fall in the hands of those who didn’t deserve it and who did not work for it

Second and this is very important...

The scripture above says where your treasure is, your heart will be there also.

If you have treasure that you may have buried then this scripture says that you unknowingly buried yourself...

Your heart.

The essence of who you are got buried the very moment you decided to take the job of protector and provider from GOD.

You demoted GOD and promoted yourself.

Do you think you can handle the job of being creation and Creator?

However, although you demoted HIM, HE has never stopped loving you!

And you’ve got something in common...

You want to find your heart and lost treasure...

HE says that you are the apple of HIS eye. HE FINDS HIS TREASURE, HIS HEART AND HIS SOUL IN YOU!

Make up with HIM. Give HIM back charge over your security and be free from this position. A position that you did not earn and can not handle.

Give HIM a chance and watch HIM give you true security!
